I used to live in Tampa before me and my family moved to Ohio. I spent my undergrad studies in the former. I was an achiever. I studied very hard and always devoted my time in achieving the highest honors. I guess people can consider me as a “nerd” one so to speak. I didn’t care what people talked about me because what was ultimately important for me then was to achieve my goal which was to finish my studies and have a bright future ahead. I can say that I also had established friends connection back then. I joined clubs in school to meet peers. My passion is music so I joined the school’s official music club. There I met my best budy Tom. Tom is a happy go lucky guy who does extreme things but as how I knew him personally, he has a big heart. One day, I was surprised for without my knowledge, his Mom went to our school once,had informed me that Tom will not be attending school for the time being as he needs to undergo treatment.
His mom said that her son became unconscious at home for a day due to overdrinking of alcohol. So his parents were already alarmed about the condition of their son so they decided that they put him to alcohol rehabilitation. His mom said that they took him to Treatment Solutions Network in Lauderdale,Florida. This place is a rehabilitation center where patients were sent to be treated and to recover from drug and alcohol abuse. She said a couple of days ago, his personal doctor said that they found out a dual diagnosis with Tom. It means that he has a condition where he was suffering from psychosis at the same time with alcoholism. So this week, he will be undergoing a dual diagnosis treatment.
