Mark Stretch

Treat the condition of the interior. Stretch marks are common in people who have a weight change rapidly, such as pregnant women, overweight people and athletes to put on weight. It is also associated with people who have endocrine disorders like Cushing’s syndrome and abnormal collagen formation as Marfan’s disease. Abrupt stretching of the skin causes the formation of collagen in the deepest layer to separate if one looks under the microscope, the layer of skin is thinned and stretched.

The elastic components of the skin as stretch marks are spare parts and hair follicles are absent. Stretch marks are difficult to treat. Some experts believe tretion, a topical cream used to treat acne, helps reduce the marks. Glycolic acid, a chemical commonly used in skin peeling, has also been used. The most promising treatment to date is the use of laser energy. Although it may not feel normal skin, laser treatment can correct the color difference between the stretch and the affected area.
